Quantya returns to the CLA Game Fair 2011

After a great time at the CLA Game Fair in 2010 we will be returning in 2011. This is a big event where we get to build a purpose built track and let people test out the Quantya electric bikes. This years event will be held at Blenheim Palace on 22nd-24th July 2011. The CLA Game Fair is the World’s leading country sport event. Learn more about the CLA Game Fair.

Quantya attending VW Bus Stop in Crowborough

The Bus Stop is on Saturday 16th July and will feature loads of beautiful VW camper vans and beetles. There will be loads to see and do for the whole family. On top of the VW vehicles on display there will be a climbing wall, trade stands, food and live music. We will be there letting people have a go on the bikes.

Quantya to attend Goodwood Festival of Speed 2011

The Festival of Speed is an amazing event for anyone into cars and motorbikes. It is full of fast and famous cars and motorcycles of the past, present and a glimpse into the future. The event is also popular with motorsport celebrities. With plenty to see and do for all ages it is bound to be a great weekend.

They describe it as:

The Festival of Speed is the largest motoring garden party in the world – a unique summer weekend that brings together an impossibly heady mix of cars, stars and motor sport ‘royalty’ to create the largest car culture event in the world. Held in the immaculate grounds of Goodwood House, this annual hill-climb event is a true celebration of motor sport and all things automotive.

Quantya will be in the FoS-TECH area – this is a marquee dedicated to show state of the art technology and promoting environmentally considerate motoring. The Festival of Speed takes place on 30th June – 3rd July.

Redmarley Hill Climb

We have already said we will be at the event (Electric Motorbikes at Redmarley Hill Climb) but we wanted to share some photos of the hill that we will be climbing. Last weekend we visited the site in Redmarley to meet the organisers and do a few test runs. The bikes performed well and made it to the top of the hill! We will be holding an exhibition all electric race during the interval on race day.

Electric motorbikes at Red Marley Hill Climb

Quantya will be attending the Red Marley Hill Climb on the 22nd – 25th April 2011. This is a unique weekend event for off-road classic motorcycles. A pre-65 trial on Easter Sunday and a classic Hill Climb on Easter Monday. There will be demonstration rides of the electric bikes too. The event will be raising money for Help for Heroes. Quantya at Ledbury MCC Grass Track this weekend!

Join us in Ledbury on Saturday afternoon, to watch some grass track racing – Quantya will be racing 4 electric dirt bikes round the Ledbury MCC Grass Track – the first electric bike competition in the UK.

This is what grass track racing looks like for those who do not know:

Gates open at 12pm – the field is opposite the rugby club on the Ledbury to Ross road. We will be on track in the interval – only for 20 minutes at around 5. 30 or 6pm – about 4 x 360m laps. Entry fees are going to charity.

Ours will seem like a ghost race (almost silent after all the petrol bikes on before us) – but just as fast and just as exciting.
