Join us in Ledbury on Saturday afternoon, to watch some grass track racing – Quantya will be racing 4 electric dirt bikes round the Ledbury MCC Grass Track – the first electric bike competition in the UK.
This is what grass track racing looks like for those who do not know:
Gates open at 12pm – the field is opposite the rugby club on the Ledbury to Ross road. We will be on track in the interval – only for 20 minutes at around 5. 30 or 6pm – about 4 x 360m laps. Entry fees are going to charity.
Ours will seem like a ghost race (almost silent after all the petrol bikes on before us) – but just as fast and just as exciting.
Please pass this on to anyone who you think might be interested.
This weekend we took some Quantya Evo 1 Track bikes over to the meet at Culham Park at Abingdon in Oxfordshire. Culham is a delightful venue, our reception warm and welcoming, and the weather was perfect.
Spectators saw some of their own top riders test two of the Quantya bikes riding around the impressive track there many times between the main events.
Both riders were well impressed by the bikes’ cornering ability, acceleration and handling on track.
We are all very grateful to Neil Irwin and his team for inviting us over and to Nigel and Lorraine for taking the bikes over there for us. We look forward to returning to Culham very soon.
Comments or questions are invited from spectators and riders – and any invitations to show the silent power of these amazing electric bikes at other parks in future will be most welcome.

Just a quick reminder about us attending the Bike Show from the 27th November to the 6th December at the NEC. You will be able to find our stand in Hall 5 at booth ORO48.
On top of that Quantya electric motorbikes will also be available to ride on the indoor test track, giving you a chance to experience the bike.
Members of the Green Valley MotoX club, near Caerphilly in South Wales, enjoyed riding one of the Quantya bikes last weekend on the smaller tight and technical practice track above the car park!
Stunned by the power and speed of the bikes up and round the hillside track’s tight turns, and by the silent – and of course emission free - motor, riders stood and watched in sheer amazement eagerly waiting their turn to have a go amongst all the noise of the petrol bikes racing as well.
For those who did not get a go, we will be back another day with two more bikes – but we also look forward to more opportunities like this all over the country to demonstrate the Quantya Track. Thanks to all the guys at Green Valley though now for such a warm welcome – sorry we were short of time and only had one spare bike to bring this time.
Quantya bikes were on display and filmed in action on and off the track at the ACU Maxxis MX Championships final round this weekend at Landrake in Cornwall.
On Saturday Edward Briscoe and Eddie Basnett took a couple of the bikes off the track and up into the fields behind for the Greenlight TV crew to film them in action doing wheelies, donuts, and a whole lot more.
Then on Sunday Ross Flashman and Darren Shears rode the bikes on part of the track itself in front of the crowds and between the qualifiers and final rounds – they only rode a short section but it was just enough to give spectators an idea of what we hope to see next year – an electric race and MX series.
The weather was fabulous and the crowd were genuinely amazed by the Quantya bikes’ performance. After the roar of the petrol bikes they could not get over how quiet these electric bikes are, or how quick they accelerate and ride up hills and over the jumps (Ross and Darren could have ridden faster and flown over the jumps but they generously held back for the crowds to see and the cameras to film them both together – next time we will no doubt see the sparks fly as they take these bikes up to full speed). Well done guys and thank you all.
We would also like to thank the ACU and Brian Higgins and all his team for their phenomenal support and hospitality this season giving us the opportunity to introduce the electric bikes to the UK MX scene, and we look forward to working together next year and for the future of electric motorsport.
SKY TV
Watch out for these guys on their Quantya bikes – film coverage will be out on Sky TV very soon.
HIRE AND RIDE PARKS
We look forward to hearing from people who want to join us developing Quantyaparx around the UK now – to hire out Quantya bikes for people to ride and race electric – adrenaline, peace and quiet!

Remember too – If you want to book your own Quantya test ride – we have a small test track in Gloucestershire – just send us an email.
There was a lot of interest in the Quantya bike this weekend and many people wanting to ride it. At the next two events in Scotland and Cornwall there will be an opportunity to see the Quantya in action. Meanwhile there are several developments, which may be of interest to enthusiasts out there.
WELCOME: Group bookings can now be taken to ride our first Quantya test track – here in Gloucestershire.
WANTED: We are now looking for top riders to do demonstrations and compete at events in the future. Anyone interested should get in touch with us now, book for a test ride, and submit brief details and a photo with their application.
WANTED: We also seek joint venture partners nationwide to open Quantya Parx to hire out electric bikes by the hour and run electric dirt bike competitions. Minimal investment required.
