There are certain things one needs to know before buying a Quantya. Here we will try and cover any questions or queries you may have.
Financing a Quantya
Not everyone has the cash for a Quantya readily available or would prefer to spread the cost of buying a Quantya over a larger timeframe. There is finance available. Currently Lombards are doing finance for the Quantya. More will certainly follow.
Taxing a Quantya
If you are planning on using the bike off road only, then there is no need to tax it. The only Quantya which is suitable for road use is the Strada. This has numberplate attachments points, lights, indicators and speedometer. In order to tax the bike you need to go to your local DVLA office. As the bikes are electric they are free of charge to tax, but still must have a valid tax disc.
Insuring a Quantya
Most insurers do not yet have electric categories on their website. This will soon change. For now you must phone them up. Insurance for electric bikes is cheaper than their combustion engine counterparts. It is roughly £300 fully comp and £160 third party, fire and theft.
Do I need a driving license?
You need to have a full bike license to drive the Quantya on the road just like any other motorbike. Again, when off roading, no license is available.
